Acquired on June 11, 2026, the Class A property marks the Chicago-based firm’s third major investment in the Charlotte market, bringing its local holdings to roughly 1,000 residential units.
Completed in 2020, the midrise development sits at the intersection of Interstate 485 and Route 27. The location provides residents with access to over 265,000 jobs within a 25-minute commute, drawing significant interest from healthcare professionals employed at nearby Novant and Atrium medical centers.The property features units ranging up to 1,300 square feet, outfitted with granite countertops and full basin sinks. Shared amenities include a lake house, a 24-hour fitness center, and outdoor kitchens. According to the firm’s Chief Investment Officer, the acquisition aligns with a strategy targeting areas characterized by strong employment growth, rising homeownership costs, and constrained new supply.
Sherman Residential, a family-owned company with over a century of experience, manages assets across six states. The firm intends to implement its signature hands-on management approach at the site as it continues to bolster its presence in East Charlotte.
