The e-commerce front door is shifting from static storefronts to dynamic, agent-led interactions. ShopAgentic, a startup building specialized AI systems for retail, has closed a €1.9 million pre-seed round co-led by May Ventures and Greenfield Capital to scale its autonomous commerce architecture for global merchants.
ShopAgentic operates through a coordinated squad of AI agents designed to handle specific end-to-end tasks, ranging from dynamic pricing and catalogue management to fulfillment orchestration. Unlike standard platforms that require full migration, the system is built to integrate with existing proprietary infrastructure. CEO and co-founder Alexander Ringsdorff notes that as commerce transactions migrate toward autonomous agents, the company aims to provide the underlying system that manages these exchanges while leaving strategic oversight to the merchant. The startup plans to deploy the new capital to accelerate product development and deepen integrations across the commerce ecosystem. By targeting the significant portion of the global market currently tied to custom-built systems, ShopAgentic intends to lower the barrier for traditional retailers looking to adopt agentic commerce without abandoning their established back-end operations.
