iQIYI Debuts AI-Driven Thriller None Shall Escape

A 50% increase in production efficiency defines the release of the psychological thriller None Shall Escape, the first feature film to fully integrate iQIYI’s proprietary AI platform, NadouPro. By automating complex visual effects and scene management, the project signals a shift toward industrialized AI workflows in professional filmmaking.

The film, which follows a medical student searching for her missing sister in a secluded manor, serves as a stress test for NadouPro’s capabilities. Visual Effects Director Yu Zhang utilized the platform to centralize shot tracking and run simultaneous prompts across multiple large-model tools, identifying optimal visual outputs for each sequence. This centralized environment allowed the team to bypass traditional bottlenecks that often plague large-scale productions.

Specific sequences highlight the platform's time-saving potential. For a complex scene depicting cellular mutation, the production team compressed a month of atmosphere development into less than one week. Similarly, the platform replaced labor-intensive particle simulations for exterior environmental effects by directly processing live-action footage. Post-production Director Xingsheng Han emphasizes that this technology functions as a force multiplier for human expertise rather than a replacement, allowing crews to focus on creative direction over repetitive compositing tasks.

Since its commercial launch on April 20, NadouPro has seen rapid uptake, supporting over 100 iQIYI original productions and attracting more than 10,000 active creators. As the platform expands globally, it aims to establish a new standard for long-form content creation, proving that AI-assisted pipelines can maintain high production values while drastically reducing the time required for post-production finishing.
