NUU Targets Budget Market with $169 Android 16 Smartphone

Priced at $169.99, the new NUU N10 Plus arrives in the U.S. market aiming to strip away hardware complexity for cost-conscious consumers. The device, which officially launched October 15, 2026, pairs the latest Android 16 operating system with a high-capacity battery to prioritize basic utility over high-end performance.

The Irving-based manufacturer NUU designed the N10 Plus around a 6.6-inch HD+ display, utilizing a 90Hz refresh rate to maintain fluidity during daily tasks like streaming and web browsing. Under the hood, the phone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery intended to sustain heavy usage throughout the day. Photography needs are handled by a 50MP main sensor paired with a 5MP front-facing camera, complemented by a dedicated Pro Photo Mode.

Hardware specifications include Dual SIM support, NFC for contactless payments, and expandable storage capacity reaching 512GB. CEO Danny Sit stated that the device serves as a response to the premium-price trend, focusing instead on reliable connectivity and essential daily features. The N10 Plus is currently available through the company's online portal and Amazon, shipping with a complimentary tempered glass screen protector.
