The demonstration focuses on version 7.1.21, which introduces specialized features designed to accelerate pathology reading. Among the updates are automated registration for multiple stainings and AI-driven cell counting, including a dedicated algorithm for KI-67 analysis. These tools allow for dynamic updates across whole slides, enabling clinicians to toggle positive and negative cell identification in real-time.
Beyond automated counting, the platform now natively supports fluorescence imaging with customizable pseudocoloring and z-stacking capabilities across multiple focal planes. Malte Westerhoff, co-founder and global chief technology officer at Visage, noted that the company prioritized solving common bottlenecks in pathology workflows by integrating these functions into their existing cloud-based architecture. While the diagnostic use of the digital pathology module remains a work-in-progress, the system is designed to handle massive datasets without compromising speed or institutional scale.
