With the judicial restriction removed, Ardagh Holdings has regained the authority to resume discussions with its financial advisers regarding a potential sale of the metal packaging division. The company had initially signaled its intent to explore these divestment options in an August 13 announcement, but the process was stalled by the ex parte application filed by noteholders linked to the company's 2025 recapitalization.
Ardagh Metal Packaging functions as a global supplier of recyclable beverage cans, operating 23 facilities across nine countries. The business generated $5.5 billion in sales throughout 2025. Its parent entity, Ardagh Group, maintains a broader portfolio of 58 production sites globally with annual sales reaching approximately $9.6 billion. Investor Relations Director Stephen Lyons confirmed the release of this update as inside information under EU regulatory standards.
