The annual selection process saw TIME editors evaluate global innovations based on efficacy, originality, and overall impact, with a specific focus on the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence. Yoodli’s platform facilitates this through a suite of tools that include hyper-realistic roleplays, personalized coaching, and automated progress tracking. By integrating these capabilities into the daily workflow, the company aims to replace traditional training methods with performance-based metrics.
Varun Puri, CEO and co-founder, attributes the company's success to the increasing necessity for rapid upskilling in an AI-first economy. This year, the platform expanded its utility across diverse sectors, counting Google, Snowflake, and Databricks among its clients. The company has seen significant internal growth, expanding its workforce to roughly 100 employees and relocating to a new headquarters at Seattle's Pier 70. Beyond corporate applications, the software is currently utilized by the University of Washington for interview preparation and by the government of El Salvador to improve doctor-patient communication.
