The company’s recent structural mapping identified a half-graben—a down-dropped block created by fault stress—that mirrors the tectonic setting of AngloGold Ashanti’s Silicon deposit. By establishing that the Celts site formed during the same hydrothermal window as these larger, bulk-mineable systems, the firm is moving to test both fault-hosted and layer-hosted targets. Recent surface sampling has returned gold values up to 1.5 g/t in areas previously unexplored by historic mining.
Eminent Gold President Dan McCoy noted that the data solidifies the project’s status as a top-tier discovery opportunity. The proposed 2,500-metre drill program will target the Cool Boy fault and deeper zones beneath an impermeable rock lid, aiming to replicate the success seen in surrounding districts. While the first two holes are already permitted, the remaining exploration hinges on final approvals and capital allocation.
