Ericsson Posts 7% Organic Growth Amidst Market Challenges

Ericsson reported a 7% increase in organic sales for the third quarter of 2026, reaching SEK 59.5 billion. Despite this growth, the telecommunications giant faces a stagnant Radio Access Network (RAN) market and mounting pressure from rising component costs, prompting the company to initiate an internal operational restructuring.

The company’s quarterly performance was buoyed by robust demand in strategic markets and increased activity within its Mobile Networks segment. While reported gross income rose to SEK 28.0 billion from SEK 26.8 billion in the previous year, adjusted EBITA fell to SEK 10.1 billion, partly reflecting the absence of prior-year divestment gains. Net income for the period stood at SEK 5.8 billion, resulting in a diluted earnings per share of SEK 1.77.

CEO Per Narvinger emphasized that the firm is prioritizing AI-enabled features to improve network autonomy and efficiency. To navigate a landscape marked by geopolitical uncertainty and flat demand, Ericsson is moving to simplify its operating structure. This shift aims to sharpen customer focus and improve accountability as the company looks to offset margin headwinds expected throughout the coming year.
