The collaboration, announced at the Carrier Logistics Annual Users Conference in Elmsford, N.Y., addresses the recurring failure of standard APIs. When tracking numbers are missing or incorrect, automated bots typically resort to intrusive emails and phone calls, forcing human agents to handle the overflow. By integrating LSP44’s AI-native infrastructure, the new system identifies shipments based on available properties rather than requiring perfect data inputs.
Ben Wiesen, president of Carrier Logistics, noted that this shift allows carriers to provide necessary visibility while shedding significant administrative costs. Nick Ruggiero, head of product at LSP44, added that the industry has long accepted manual tracking requests as an unavoidable expense. This new connectivity removes that friction, allowing for a more touchless, automated workflow between carriers, shippers, and 3PLs.
