The Pink Moflin (PE-M11PK) officially arrives in the United States this October, retailing for $429. Brian Piccolo, General Manager of Sound & Innovation at Casio America, noted that the color choice stems from the rise of "cozy culture," where soft hues and textures are prioritized for their soothing properties. The device functions identically to its predecessors, utilizing an emotional algorithm that creates unique personality combinations based on how owners interact with the unit through touch and sound.
Since its initial launch in Japan, where sales have exceeded 20,000 units, the Moflin has been marketed as an alternative for individuals unable to keep live pets due to allergies or travel constraints. The hardware includes a suite of sensors—touch, sound, and light—to interpret user interaction, while the accompanying MofLife app allows owners to track the robot's mood and daily journal entries. Privacy remains a focus, as the device processes voice data locally without recording or transmitting identifiable speech.
