Atomicwork is positioning itself to challenge traditional ticketing systems by deploying AI coworkers that manage tasks ranging from onboarding to incident response. The company, which recently tripled its customer base to include firms like Replit and Skydio, seeks to capitalize on Patel’s specific experience in building credibility with technical buyers. CEO Vijay Rayapati noted that Patel’s background in autonomous cloud management is essential for convincing enterprises to grant software the authority to execute actions rather than merely suggest them.
Patel enters the role following a tenure at Sedai, where she focused on the transition from recommendation-based AI to automated cloud operations. At Atomicwork, she aims to replicate this shift by emphasizing the platform’s ability to resolve requests across complex enterprise systems. The company intends to leverage this focus on autonomous service delivery to differentiate itself from competitors offering superficial AI interfaces. With backing from investors like Khosla Ventures and Battery Ventures, the Palo Alto-based firm is banking on this leadership change to accelerate its enterprise-scale adoption.
