The collaboration leverages Everyday Electric's virtual power plant technology—the largest residential network of its kind in the U.S.—to manage energy consumption across more than 1 million existing Lennox smart thermostats. By linking these devices to grid demand, the system is designed to scale small, comfort-focused adjustments into significant, power-plant-sized capacity that reduces strain on utility infrastructure.
Sarah Martin, EVP of Lennox Home Comfort Solutions, stated that the integration focuses on making energy efficiency a natural part of daily life rather than a chore. Users will retain full control, with the ability to override settings or adjust preferences through the Lennox Home app at any time. Beyond automated savings, the app will provide insights and personalized recommendations to help residents track their energy usage. Ben Brown, CEO of Everyday Electric, noted that the program succeeds by meeting customers where they are, ensuring comfort remains a priority while households are rewarded for their contribution to a more stable and cost-effective electrical grid.
