Starting October 14 and running through November 25, the budget-friendly basket includes a 16-pound turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, dinner rolls, and ingredients for pumpkin pie. ALDI CEO Atty McGrath stated that the initiative removes the need for complex coupon strategies or price calculations, focusing instead on a straightforward, low-cost model. The menu is modeled after the American Farm Bureau Federation’s longstanding Thanksgiving Dinner Cost Survey, a benchmark the company claims it has consistently outperformed by an average of 26% over the last five years.
To facilitate the promotion, participating items will be marked with a turkey logo on store shelves. The company has also integrated a one-click digital shopping list at ALDI.us, allowing customers to purchase the entire meal for curbside pickup or delivery. Scott Patton, Chief Commercial Officer at ALDI, noted that the goal is to reduce the time spent hunting for holiday deals. While the price remains consistent across the chain, final totals may fluctuate slightly based on regional availability and specific product selections.
