Harrison brings over three decades of R&D experience from the U.S. and U.K. to the firm, having previously held senior roles at Nucleome Therapeutics, Engine Biosciences, and KAI Pharmaceuticals. His track record includes contributions to the development of approved therapies such as Veltassa and Parsabiv. At Prologue, he will oversee the translation of viral protein research into clinical candidates, leveraging the company’s machine learning-driven approach to identify therapeutic targets.
Lovisa Afzelius, CEO and co-founder of Prologue, highlighted Harrison’s ability to convert complex, novel biology into tangible medical outcomes. Harrison himself noted the potential in utilizing viral proteins, which have evolved unique methods to interact with human biological systems. The company also expanded its governance by appointing Jason Silvers, President and CFO of Generate Biomedicines, and Adrian Rawcliffe, CEO of Etiome, to the Board. These leadership changes signal a push to move the company’s foundational research from the database toward human clinical trials.
