Starting November 19, the Los Angeles Convention Center will host the AutoMobility LA industry day, followed by ten days of public exhibitions. The program seeks to address the reality of a multi-source automotive sector, where legacy internal combustion engines coexist with a rapidly expanding electric vehicle infrastructure. California currently supports this transition with over 216,000 public and shared charging ports, while heavy-duty electric trucking operations grow at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.
Chevron’s role as the presenting sponsor highlights the intersection of local industrial presence and consumer-facing technology. The company intends to use the event to launch its next-generation Techron additive, focusing on engine protection across diverse fuel grades. For Terri Toennies, president of the Los Angeles Auto Show, the partnership reflects the necessity of engaging with a company that maintains deep roots in Southern California’s refining and retail sectors.
Beyond the main stage, the show will offer visitors hands-on experience through the LADWP Test Track, allowing consumers to compare various powertrains directly. This focus on energy is the first of three thematic pillars for the 2026 edition, with future programming set to explore the evolving roles of autonomy and entertainment in modern vehicle design.
