The treats are manufactured in Kansas City, Missouri, reflecting the brand’s deep ties to its home state. Sales & Marketing Manager Stephanie Taylor noted the product was designed to align with the lifestyle of their customers, who often share a passion for both bourbon and their pets. While the branding features barrel-shaped packaging, the treats contain no alcohol and are intended specifically for canine consumption.
Beyond the product launch, the company has committed to a charitable component. For every barrel of treats sold, one dollar will be donated to organizations assisting animals in need. For 2026, the distillery has selected Wayside Waifs, a Kansas City nonprofit, as the primary beneficiary of this initiative. The move marks a pivot for the 1856-founded distillery, which has operated at its original location in Weston for nearly two centuries.
