Following a transformative journey to Israel, D'Souza spent three years collaborating with scholars to address common misconceptions surrounding the Bible's historical accuracy. He maintains that while archaeology cannot verify theological claims or miracles, it provides a material foundation for the events described in ancient texts. The book features a multimedia approach, offering readers access to video footage of excavation sites and ruins to contextualize the findings.
The research spans several contentious topics, including the reign of King Solomon and the architecture of the First Temple, the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, and the historical debates regarding the Exodus. D'Souza also examines the archaeological record concerning the crucifixion and burial of Jesus, as well as the historical connection between the Philistines and modern regional demographics. The project is supplemented by a documentary produced in partnership with PragerU, aiming to bring these ancient locales to a contemporary audience.
