Kholo Capital injects R275 million into DCC Holdings

Kholo Capital has finalized a R275 million mezzanine debt investment in DCC Holdings, a prominent South African ICT distributor. The capital infusion is designed to refinance existing debt obligations while providing the necessary financial flexibility to accelerate the company’s long-term growth strategy across the Southern African region.

Founded in 1988, DCC Holdings has cemented its role in the regional supply chain by distributing hardware and software from global manufacturers such as HP, Dell, and Lenovo. The company serves an extensive network of resellers and retailers, maintaining a logistics infrastructure that spans multiple Southern African markets. This new funding arrangement, supported by private equity firm Kleoss Capital, allows the distributor to optimize its capital structure without significant equity dilution.

Kholo Capital’s managing partners, Mokgome Mogoba and Zaheer Cassim, highlighted the distributor’s commitment to inclusive growth, noting its internal investments in youth employment and sustainable energy practices. By utilizing mezzanine debt—a hybrid instrument that balances senior debt and equity—DCC gains a 4- to 7-year window to manage cash flow more effectively. For Kholo Capital, the transaction aligns with its mandate to support mid-market businesses that generate consistent EBITDA while fostering both commercial value and social impact.
