The launch marks a significant shift toward technological integration, anchored by a proprietary AI suite dubbed Autonex Intelligence. While the group will maintain its familiar consumer-facing brands, the underlying infrastructure is now unified to accelerate innovation and cross-border trade. CEO Peter Brooks-Johnson stated the company aims to redefine the automotive retail landscape by leveraging its massive scale to transform how vehicles are bought, sold, and leased.
Central to the strategy is a shared platform fueled by data from over two million active listings and 45,000 dealer partners. This architecture allows for the rapid deployment of AI-driven tools, such as conversational search assistants for consumers and automated inventory management for dealers. By centralizing these capabilities, the group intends to streamline the historically fragmented wholesale market, particularly through AutoProff, which facilitates cross-border trading between European dealers by handling inspection, escrow, and tax logistics.
