Fedstack Joins OpenAI Select Partner Network to Train Federal Talent

McLean-based software training firm Fedstack has secured status as an OpenAI Select Partner, a move designed to bridge the gap between advanced artificial intelligence and the specialized security requirements of the federal government. The partnership focuses on training engineers to deploy frontier models within high-stakes public sector environments.

The collaboration integrates OpenAI’s latest technological capabilities—specifically the GPT-6 Astra model—into Fedstack’s existing workforce development programs. By gaining early access to these tools, the firm aims to train software engineers who can navigate the complex workflows and stringent compliance standards unique to government technology agencies.

Christopher Coligado, Executive Vice President and Federal Business Lead at Fedstack, emphasized that the shift is driven by the urgent need for personnel capable of applying AI in high-security settings. Rather than relying on theoretical knowledge, Fedstack requires its engineers to earn a Full Stack AI Engineer credential. This certification process mandates demonstrated proficiency across four distinct pillars: technical expertise, leadership, Agile delivery, and federal immersion. As AI adoption accelerates across the public sector, this partnership serves to ensure that the engineers entering federal agencies are already equipped to handle the specific operational constraints of government systems.
