Elsight Debuts Anti-Spoofing Navigation for Uncrewed Systems

As electronic warfare turns GPS signals into a liability for autonomous drones and vehicles, Elsight is launching a new positioning capability that operates entirely independent of satellite networks. The technology, unveiled at AUSA 2026, uses cellular signal fusion to maintain precise geolocation in contested, jammed, or spoofed environments.

The system functions by layering cellular network measurements—including timing advance and base station signal analysis—with motion data to establish a platform's location. By cross-referencing these inputs with satellite data in real time, the software detects spoofing attempts the moment the two data streams diverge. Unlike traditional inertial navigation that only tracks distance traveled from a starting point, this patented approach provides absolute geolocation.

Elsight CEO Yoav Amitai described the shift as a necessary evolution for modern tactical planning, noting that the company’s flagship Halo platform now includes this feature as a software unlock, requiring no additional hardware for existing users. The technology is designed to maintain accuracy across air, land, and maritime domains even when GPS, internet, or visual references are unavailable. With over 500,000 operational hours already logged by the Halo system in high-intensity combat zones, the company aims to mitigate the growing reliance on vulnerable satellite infrastructure for autonomous operations.
