GMIF2026 Honors Industry Leaders Shaping the AI Memory Landscape

The 5th Global Memory Innovation Forum concluded in Shenzhen, highlighting the critical role of memory and storage in the era of artificial intelligence. Awards were presented to companies ranging from global giants like Samsung and Arm to specialized innovators, acknowledging their contributions to advanced semiconductor architecture and infrastructure.

The GMIF2026 summit brought together technical experts and industry leaders at the Renaissance Shenzhen Bay Hotel to address the future of AI-driven storage. This year’s awards recognized excellence across the entire value chain, including compute, packaging, and end-user applications. Honorees were evaluated on their technological breakthroughs and ability to scale commercial deployments.

Key industry leaders received top honors for pushing the boundaries of hardware performance. Samsung was recognized for its leadership in DRAM and NAND technology, particularly its V10 NAND and CXL memory solutions. Arm earned accolades for its energy-efficient computing ecosystem, while Lenovo was highlighted for its full-stack AI infrastructure. Domestic innovators also made significant strides; CXMT was honored for the first full-platform launch of LPDDR6, and Numbers Law was recognized for breaking performance barriers in HDD technology with its new PMD architecture.

Beyond core components, the summit underscored the importance of specialized solution providers and supply chain enablers. Companies like BIWIN, Infplane, and Genstoraige were acknowledged for their work in optimizing data paths and KV cache offloading to improve inference efficiency. The event also spotlighted critical advancements in packaging and testing, with firms such as APIE and Tytantest receiving awards for developing essential equipment that secures the yield and reliability of next-generation chips. These achievements reflect a broader industry transition where memory is increasingly viewed as the foundational anchor for global AI infrastructure.
