Ericsson Repurchases 7.9 Million Shares in October Buyback Push

Between October 5 and October 9, 2026, Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson acquired 7,917,288 of its own Class B shares. The transactions, executed on Nasdaq Stockholm by Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE, totaled approximately 746.35 million SEK as the company continues its multi-billion SEK buyback program.

The repurchases were conducted at a weighted average price of 94.2688 SEK per share. Daily activity peaked on October 8 with 2,063,000 shares purchased, while the lightest volume occurred on October 9 at 250,000 shares. These acquisitions represent a segment of the broader 15 billion SEK buyback initiative launched by the company in April 2026, which is scheduled to run through March 31, 2027.

Following these latest transactions, Ericsson’s treasury stock has reached 125,805,951 Class B shares. The Board of Directors intends to seek approval at the 2027 Annual General Meeting to cancel these repurchased shares, excluding those reserved for existing employee incentive programs. The program remains compliant with European Union market abuse regulations, ensuring transactions are executed within the specified safe harbor parameters.
