Amy Robach Prioritizes Relationship Over Career Following ABC Exit

Conflict: Former GMA3 anchor Amy Robach has reportedly declined multiple broadcasting job offers, including a high-profile role at Inside Edition, because potential employers refused to hire her fiancé and podcast partner, T.J. Holmes. The couple remains a professional package deal despite the fallout from their 2022 departure from ABC News.

Since their highly publicized exit from ABC, the pair has sought to maintain their professional partnership by exclusively pursuing opportunities that include both anchors. Industry insiders suggest that Robach was the frontrunner to replace Deborah Norville at Inside Edition in 2025, but the position ultimately went to Eva Pilgrim. Reports indicate Robach’s refusal to accept roles without Holmes was the primary hurdle in her return to traditional network news.

Following their departure, the duo launched the iHeartRadio podcast Amy and T.J. to control their own narrative. They recently signaled a new chapter in their personal lives by acquiring a marriage license in Arkansas, following an engagement announcement in October 2025. Despite the career disruption that followed their affair, both maintain that their professional and personal choices were necessary to preserve their relationship.
