The Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism Competition is considered one of North America's most prestigious honors in the field. Administered by the SATW Foundation since 1984, the contest is judged by faculty at the University of Missouri School of Journalism. This year, the panel reviewed 1,568 entries across print, digital, and broadcast categories, ultimately bestowing 120 awards to recognize excellence in the industry.
