Global Delegates Gather in Jerusalem to Mark Three Years Since October 7

More than 2,000 Christian and Jewish leaders from 123 countries converged at Jerusalem’s Southern Wall to mark the third anniversary of the October 7 attacks. The summit, organized by Friends of Zion founder Dr. Mike Evans, broadcast personal testimonies of survival and loss to an audience of over 120 million viewers worldwide.

The gathering served as the centerpiece of the Friends of Zion Ambassador Summit, bringing together diplomats, influencers, and survivors to foster international solidarity with Israel. Hosted by journalist Erin Molan and actor Nate Buzolic, the event prioritized the voices of those directly affected by the conflict, including released hostages and bereaved family members.

Bar Kuperstein, who spent two years in captivity after being abducted from the Nova music festival, appeared alongside his grandfather, a Holocaust survivor. This generational connection underscored the event's focus on historical resilience. Sagui Dekel Chen, another former captive, shared the tragedy of Kibbutz Nir Oz, where 64 residents were killed, while Galit Waldman honored her son, Major Ariel Ben Moshe, who died defending children in Be'eri.

Dr. Mike Evans also recognized Yaniv Hayun, a passenger who recently helped thwart a hijacking attempt on a Flydubai flight. By physically restraining a rogue co-pilot during a mid-air emergency, Hayun’s actions were framed as a testament to the instinct for collective protection. Sylvan Adams, President of the World Jewish Congress Israel, noted that the global Christian support signaled to the Jewish people that they remain supported by millions worldwide. The delegation’s week in Israel includes meetings with President Isaac Herzog and visits to memorial sites such as Yad Vashem and the Nova festival grounds.
