The updated device, which maintains the original leak-stopping technology, introduces a new handle featuring a dedicated finger hole to provide a more secure grip. Additionally, the company has added an optional, single-use removal string. These design adjustments were implemented directly in response to customer feedback, as some users previously expressed anxiety regarding the device's removal process. By incorporating these modifications, the company aims to broaden the accessibility of its non-surgical solution for the estimated 80,000 women already utilizing the product.
Lauren Barker, CEO and co-founder of Uresta, emphasized that the evolution of the brand is rooted in listening to the women who rely on their products. The device functions as a vaginal pessary that supports the urethra to prevent leaks rather than absorbing them, functioning effectively as an alternative to disposable pads. The new starter kit includes three sizes and 15 removal strings, allowing users to customize their experience based on personal comfort. The product is currently available for purchase through the company's website.
