As the Ohio-based pediatric health system migrates to Workday, it faces the dual challenge of sustaining daily operations while preparing for a massive platform overhaul. By delegating incident resolution, patching, and troubleshooting of its existing Infor environment to InterScripts, Akron Children’s avoids the need to hire temporary staff to bridge the gap. Harun Rashid, the system’s Chief Digital Information Officer, noted that this collaboration ensures operational continuity without diverting resources from the Workday rollout.
Simultaneously, InterScripts is deploying its BytePad platform to house over a decade of legacy data from Infor CloudSuite, Lawson, and UKG Kronos. This archival project aims to facilitate the eventual retirement of older systems while keeping records accessible for audit, payroll, and financial teams. BytePad utilizes AI-driven search capabilities to allow staff to retrieve specific records across both structured and unstructured datasets, replacing the need to keep legacy environments in a restricted read-only state.
