The new release combines unoaked Chardonnay, Viognier, and Malvasia, aiming to replicate the brand’s signature smooth, plush texture in a white wine format. According to Jason Becker, Director of Winemaking, the decision to blend these specific varieties was driven by a desire to capture tropical fruit notes—such as pineapple and nectarine—alongside floral aromatics like orange blossom. The grapes are drawn primarily from the Arroyo Seco region, a coastal area selected for its ability to produce high-quality, expressive fruit.
This move follows an 11% volume increase in U.S. sales for white blends priced above $11, signaling a shift in consumer preference toward more versatile, premium white options. Unlike the company's existing Sauvignon Blanc, which leans into citrus-forward profiles, the Blanc is designed for a richer, more textured experience. It is currently available at retailers nationwide and through the brand’s official website, maintaining the 14.0% ABV consistent with the rest of the producer's line.
