Deepdub and Spikes Partner to Monetize Dormant Studio Libraries

A studio’s back catalog is often its most stagnant asset, trapped in singular formats and languages. Tel Aviv-based AI firms Deepdub and Spikes are now offering a joint solution that automatically reconfigures long-form film and television content into localized short-form series for global markets without requiring new production.

The partnership leverages Spikes’ proprietary Series Engine, which identifies narrative arcs, cliffhangers, and plot hooks within existing titles to rebuild them into micro-dramas, teasers, and highlight reels. Once these new formats are established, Deepdub applies its eTTS technology to localize the clips into more than 130 languages and dialects. Crucially, the system maintains consistent character voices across various episodes and languages, ensuring that the final output retains the emotional integrity of the original performance.

This workflow targets the vast amount of library content that typically sits idle after its primary release window closes. By converting these assets into short-form content for FAST channels, AVOD platforms, and social media, studios can tap into international territories that were previously unreachable due to production costs or language barriers. The companies emphasize that this service is designed to complement existing distribution strategies rather than replace full-length dubbing. Deepdub and Spikes plan to demonstrate this technology at the upcoming MIPCOM event in Cannes, scheduled for October 12 to 15.
