The new solution functions as a plug-and-play layer, utilizing the Iridium satellite network to provide an authenticated positioning, navigation, and timing (APNT) signal. According to Naltec President Robert Bills, the technology offers a robust alternative to satellite-based navigation, with a signal strength roughly 1,000 times greater than standard GNSS. This allows tactical radios, SATCOM terminals, and electronic warfare platforms to maintain operational continuity even when primary signals are denied or compromised.
Built on the company's decade-long experience with military-grade deployments, the system draws from a foundation currently fielded in over 15,000 global devices. By automatically detecting interference and adjusting output, the hardware ensures that critical infrastructure—ranging from energy grids to financial networks—retains precise synchronization. Commercial shipping for the unit is scheduled to begin in December, offering a scalable defense against the rising threat of signal disruption in contested environments.
