The collaboration integrates Eminence Grey’s sovereign AI platform with Lumen’s physical network and programmable connectivity. This setup allows companies to manage distributed AI workloads while keeping information off the public internet, ensuring that sensitive data remains within controlled, auditable environments. By combining Eminence Grey’s orchestration and Qrypt post-quantum encryption with Lumen’s edge footprint, the companies intend to create a foundation for high-performance AI that avoids the security risks associated with standard cloud-based models.
Harley Stowell, Managing Partner of Eminence Grey, emphasized that the future of AI requires a local and private approach to protect critical information on U.S. soil. Jim Fowler, Chief Technology and Product Officer at Lumen, added that the partnership focuses on both where data resides and how it moves, providing the performance and visibility necessary for mission-critical operations. Customers will have the option to reserve custom-designed systems featuring dedicated GPU and HPC clusters, along with Whitehorse orchestration and Outrider access appliances, to scale their AI capabilities without compromising security.
