Nahla Aubry Defends Mother Halle Berry in Custody Dispute with Martinez

Eighteen-year-old Nahla Aubry has entered the legal fray surrounding her mother, Halle Berry, filing a court declaration that directly refutes abuse allegations made by Berry’s ex-partner, Olivier Martinez. The teenager characterizes the claims as a calculated attempt to dismantle her mother’s reputation rather than a genuine concern for her brother.

In a filing submitted to the Los Angeles Superior Court, Nahla Aubry testified that she has never witnessed her mother behave violently toward her 13-year-old brother, Maceo. Rejecting specific claims that Berry struck or threw objects at the child, Nahla described a household marked by playful interaction and consistent, devoted parenting. She emphasized that Berry has always advocated for Maceo’s education and medical needs while encouraging positive relationships with both of his parents.

Nahla expressed frustration with Martinez, suggesting he failed to consider the emotional toll the public dispute has taken on her. "I feel like I am an afterthought for Olivier in his quest to destroy my mom," the declaration stated. This intervention coincides with Berry’s own legal push to reinstate a 50/50 custody agreement and restore her decision-making authority regarding the boy’s therapy and schooling. Berry, who recently completed a court-mandated parenting course, maintains that Martinez’s allegations are baseless and has countered that the child often returns from his father’s care in a distressed state. The ongoing conflict is set to return to court on October 16.
