Spectrum to Pre-wire 3,200 Homes in Hesperia’s Silverwood Development

New homeowners in the Silverwood master-planned community will gain instant internet access upon arrival, following a deal between Spectrum Community Solutions and developer DMB Development. The agreement mandates that all 3,200 residences in the project's initial phase come equipped with pre-installed connectivity, bypassing traditional technician wait times.

The partnership introduces Spectrum Ready, a system allowing residents to activate high-speed internet and WiFi in under ten minutes by scanning a QR code on an existing router. According to Adam Moore, Senior Vice President of Spectrum Community Solutions, the initiative aims to eliminate the logistical friction typically associated with coordinating service installations during move-in periods. Over 200 homes are already connected under this arrangement.

Silverwood, a 9,366-acre development in Hesperia, California, is designed to accommodate over 15,000 homes upon completion. Beyond residential space, the site integrates significant infrastructure, including five elementary schools, a high school, and 160 miles of trails. John Ohanian, General Manager for Silverwood, noted that the inclusion of pre-activated service in monthly assessments serves as a critical draw for prospective buyers prioritizing immediate digital access. The project, backed by a $1.6 billion investment plan, intends to blend modern connectivity with the surrounding landscape of the Mojave River and national forests.
