The expansion marks a strategic pivot for the firm, which boasts over 25 years of experience in the sector. Initial development is already underway in Quebec, with several other provincial projects currently in the contracting pipeline. By localizing operations, the subsidiary aims to streamline design-build services, construction management, and long-term maintenance for municipal and commercial fleets.
According to PSI leadership, the move is calculated to capitalize on the widening price gap between conventional diesel and alternative fuels. For specific Canadian fleet applications, the company estimates fuel-cost savings exceeding 70%. Beyond direct operational expenses, the integration of Canada’s Clean Fuel Regulations allows operators to generate additional value through carbon-related credits. Executive Vice President Aaron Lay noted that while environmental targets provide momentum, the firm’s strategy remains rooted in the practical economic viability of CNG and RNG infrastructure.
