Dutch Bros Raises $1.3 Million for Youth Programs in Annual Drive

A single day of coffee sales on September 18 generated over $1.3 million for local youth organizations, marking the 20th anniversary of the Buck for Kids initiative. Across 26 states, Dutch Bros franchise locations partnered with customers to fund community nonprofits by donating a portion of proceeds from every drink sold.

The milestone event underscores a two-decade effort to localize charitable giving. Rather than funneling donations into a central pool, Dutch Bros empowers individual franchise operators to select the specific organizations they support. This approach ensures that funds reach chapters of Big Brothers Big Sisters, Make-A-Wish, and the Special Olympics within the neighborhoods where the coffee is served.

"Reaching 20 years of Buck for Kids reflects our unwavering commitment to local youth and the incredible heart of our crew and customers," said Debbie Beisswanger, Dutch Bros Foundation Board Member and SVP of Brand Marketing. The company, which now operates 1,225 locations, emphasizes that the campaign transforms routine morning coffee runs into direct financial support for regional youth development programs. By leveraging its expansive drive-thru footprint, the brand continues to scale its community impact while maintaining a decentralized model of philanthropy.
