The collaboration marks a shift toward dynamic quality measurement, replacing outdated survey methods with AI-driven voice and text interactions. By allowing residents and their families to provide feedback in their own words, Candid’s platform generates both quantitative metrics and qualitative sentiment analysis. This approach is already yielding results, with the platform maintaining an approximate 70 percent response rate across hundreds of facilities nationwide.
Sumita Singh, executive vice president of Health at U.S. News, noted that the integration provides operators with the frictionless technology needed to scale engagement as the aging population grows. U.S. News, which evaluated over 540,000 surveys for its 2026 Best Senior Living ratings, intends to use this partnership to standardize how providers track operational performance. Raphael Rubens, CEO of Candid, added that the technology bridges the gap between collecting structured data and maintaining meaningful, actionable conversations with those living and working in care communities.
