Drawing on decades of experience in K-12 literacy instruction, McCormick bridges the gap between academic mentorship and transformational coaching. Her professional background spans from serving as an elementary teacher in the Mount Pleasant Community School District to holding faculty positions at Iowa Wesleyan University and the University of Northern Iowa. Since 2021, she has focused her efforts on global outreach, notably as an associate producer for the PBS documentary Authentic Conversations.
McCormick holds a master’s degree from Viterbo University and maintains active certifications as a Canfield Trainer and a Worldwide WomanSpeak Circle Leader. Her current projects include developing an empowerment-focused children’s book and planning international events to combat teacher burnout. By partnering with organizations like Links Across Borders, she continues to advocate for educational access and literacy initiatives, maintaining a career philosophy centered on spirituality and long-term community service.
