The state's economic strength relies on a diverse foundation, ranging from five major military installations to a network of 107 public-use airports. Military operations account for $21.8 billion of the total impact, while aviation-dependent private firms contribute an additional $16.8 billion. Beyond traditional manufacturing and logistics, Oklahoma is positioning itself as a hub for emerging technologies, including unmanned aircraft systems and suborbital operations at the Infinity One Oklahoma Spaceport in Burns Flat.
Governor Kevin Stitt and other officials credit this performance to a combination of specialized workforce training and a business-friendly environment.
