The initial phase focuses on the region between South Imperial Avenue and South La Brucherie Road, spanning from Ross Avenue south to Ocotillo Drive. Each deployment zone is designed to accommodate approximately 300 homes, with subsequent expansion planned for neighborhoods near Sunflower Elementary School and the El Centro Community Center. CEO Sunita Krishna noted that the investment is intended to support the local economy and provide students with essential digital resources.
Beyond infrastructure, the company is implementing a localized service model. This includes a referral program offering a free month of service to participants and the Veros Heroes initiative, which provides discounts to teachers, healthcare workers, and first responders. The company has already established a presence in cities like Arcata and Eureka, creating 29 jobs across the state. Plans are currently in place to expand this workforce within El Centro, building on a history of local charitable contributions that saw the firm donate $13,000 to nonprofits and emergency services in 2025.
