Women In Trucking Association Names 2026 Award Finalists

Three female leaders shaping the future of the transportation industry have been named finalists for the 2026 Influential Woman in Trucking award. Selected for their innovation and advocacy, the group represents a broad cross-section of the sector, from global manufacturing giants to family-owned freight operations.

The Women In Trucking Association (WIT) announced the finalists as Angela Lentz, Chief People Officer at Daimler Truck North America; Mari Roberts, Senior Vice President of Supply Chain Centers of Excellence at PepsiCo; and Sauny Tucker, CEO of Tucker Freight Lines. These candidates were chosen for their measurable impact on their respective organizations and their commitment to advancing female representation in a traditionally male-dominated field.

Angela Lentz brings nearly 30 years of experience to her role at Daimler, where she integrates workforce strategy with operational performance. A Commercial Driver’s License holder herself, she focuses on transparent leadership and mentorship. Mari Roberts, a 26-year veteran at Frito-Lay and a Certified Transportation Professional, has spent years leading supply chain excellence and serving on the National Private Truck Council board. Sauny Tucker, who co-founded Tucker Freight Lines after growing up in a multi-generational trucking family, emphasizes a leadership style that balances corporate accountability with community support in Dubuque, Iowa.

The finalists will participate in a panel discussion at the WIT Accelerate! Conference & Expo in Dallas on October 25–28, where the winner will be announced. The award, now in its 16th year, remains a benchmark for recognizing women who drive both commercial success and cultural change within the trucking industry.
