New Truck Mirror Attachment Aims to Clear Rain-Obscured Vision

Frustrated by the persistent struggle of maintaining visibility during heavy rain, an Adelphia-based truck driver has developed a new wind reflector attachment. Designed to redirect airflow across mirror surfaces, the device physically brushes away water accumulation to ensure a clear line of sight for long-haul operators on the road.

The Wind Reflector functions by creating a specialized path for air to flow directly across the glass, actively preventing the water distortion that frequently plagues standard side mirrors. Beyond its core utility, the attachment is engineered for simple installation, prioritizing ease of use for independent drivers and fleet owners alike. A functional prototype is currently available for testing.

InventHelp, which manages the submission for the project under reference number MBQ-985, is actively seeking manufacturers or marketers interested in licensing the technology. The design represents a targeted attempt to solve a common safety challenge in the trucking industry, moving away from complex aftermarket solutions in favor of a streamlined mechanical deflection approach.
