Biobeat Debuts Cuffless Monitoring at AHA Hypertension Sessions

With nearly 80% of U.S. adults struggling to control their hypertension, the medical community is moving away from traditional, disruptive cuff-based monitors. At the upcoming American Heart Association’s 2026 Hypertension Scientific Sessions, Biobeat will present clinical evidence for its cuffless, wearable alternative to standard 24-hour ambulatory monitoring.

Traditional ambulatory blood pressure monitoring relies on repeated cuff inflation, a process that frequently disturbs patient sleep and discourages long-term adherence. Biobeat’s FDA-cleared chest patch aims to eliminate this friction by capturing 96 blood pressure measurements over a full day without the need for manual inflation. The device generates comprehensive reports detailing nighttime dipping patterns and distinguishing between white-coat hypertension and genuine clinical cases.

During the October 8 session, "From Evidence to Practice," a panel of experts including Dr. Gianfranco Parati from the University of Milano-Bicocca and Dr. Ziad Zoghby of the Mayo Clinic will evaluate how this technology integrates into routine care. The discussion will focus on the practical application of continuous data sets in guiding treatment decisions. Attendees of the AHA conference in Arlington, Virginia, can examine the sensor technology firsthand at Booth 13 throughout the event, which runs from October 7 to October 11.
