The agreement positions Tyler robots as a core component of Flooring Concepts' operations across New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. By automating the repetitive placement of LVT tiling, the technology is expected to handle between 15% and 40% of the firm's total installation volume over the next three years. For Flooring Concepts President John Pilot, the move serves as a strategic investment in workforce sustainability, allowing the company to meet project demands without the heavy capital expenditure of buying equipment outright.
Shamoon Siddiqui, founder of Human Friendly Robotics, emphasizes that the robot is designed to augment rather than replace skilled labor. While Tyler manages the heavy lifting and precise placement, human installers retain control over cuts, edging, and quality assurance. This division of labor addresses a critical industry bottleneck: 42% of construction firms currently report project delays due to labor shortages. By reducing the physical toll of kneeling and bending, the partnership seeks to extend the careers of experienced tradespeople while maintaining consistent production schedules through the end of 2028 and beyond.
