By embedding booking options into the chat experience, the airline intends to create a more direct path for users transitioning from inspiration to final ticket purchase.
Sabrina Callahan, Chief Digital and Marketing Officer at Southwest, noted that the airline is actively testing these AI innovations to align with evolving customer habits. Lauren Woods, the airline’s Chief Information Officer, added that the integration is built on a secure cloud foundation, providing the necessary flexibility to scale new digital capabilities as passenger needs shift over time.
