Dr. Lebwohl, who serves as Dean for Clinical Therapeutics at Mount Sinai, is recognized internationally for his work in psoriasis research and his previous leadership as President of the American Academy of Dermatology. His appointment marks the commencement of the professorship’s mission to prepare future generations of dermatologists. According to Dr. Emma Guttman, the department’s system chair, the endowment serves as a critical mechanism to sustain the rapid progress seen in the field over recent decades.
