Stephen Vather Joins Leidos to Lead Investor Relations

Stephen Vather has been appointed senior vice president of investor relations at Leidos, stepping into a role critical to managing the defense contractor's communication with capital markets. He arrives from Leonardo DRS, bringing a background in corporate development and mergers and acquisitions to the Reston-based technology firm.

Vather’s transition into the company comes as Leidos pushes its NorthStar 2030 growth strategy. CEO Tom Bell noted that Vather will focus on sustaining productive engagements with shareholders and the broader investment community to articulate the firm’s long-term value. Before his time at Leonardo DRS, where he helped manage the company’s return to public markets, Vather spent nearly a decade at ManTech overseeing investor relations and acquisition efforts.

He succeeds Stuart Davis, a veteran of the sector with 42 years of experience at firms including Perspecta and CSRA. Davis will remain in his position through the third-quarter earnings cycle to facilitate a handover before his retirement in March. This period of collaboration is intended to ensure continuity for analysts and investors as the company shifts its financial leadership.
