The inaugural release of "X" comprises a blend of 45 barrels distilled at MGP Indiana, featuring a mix of 21% and 36% rye mash bills. These barrels were aged across Kentucky, Indiana, and the company's Rhode Island headquarters before being selected by Corrigan. The resulting spirit, bottled at barrel proof, aims to highlight the depth achieved through extended maturation.
"We wanted our first ongoing release to make a statement," Corrigan said, noting the focus on distinctive, mature inventory. The profile leans into rich, dessert-like notes, including milk chocolate, salted caramel, and cherry cola on the palate, with a finish characterized by mocha and candied orange peel. Priced at an SRP of $69.99, the whiskey hits select retail shelves and online storefronts this month, signaling a significant expansion for the Latitude Beverage Company subsidiary.
