Lenders currently navigate a complex web of disparate vendors, security reviews, and operational handoffs to manage digital closings. This acquisition seeks to eliminate that fragmentation by placing closing eligibility, remote online notarization, eNote execution, and MERS eRegistry registration under one roof. The move allows Mortgage Connect to automate the selection of closing methods—ranging from hybrid to full remote online notarization—based on specific transaction requirements.
Stavvy’s existing infrastructure for SMART Doc generation and eVault custody complements the scale Mortgage Connect has built serving 19 of the top 20 U.S. mortgage lenders. According to Mortgage Connect CEO Jeff Coury, the integration aims to reduce friction across purchase, refinance, and loss mitigation workflows. Stavvy’s leadership team and staff will join the Pittsburgh firm to accelerate the adoption of these digital tools, which now support collateral management across all 50 states.
